Scarlet Scuderia’s Kimi Raikkonen’s return to the top in the much-concluded Malaysian Grand Prix is expected. But Ferrari, third in the constructors’ championship, had trouble elsewhere. The Finn’s teammate Felipe Massa suffered retirement on lap 31, injuring Ferrari’s one-two finish goal.

Alfa Romeo’s primary production facility, the Arese complex on the outskirts of Milan,ltaly, now lies all but abandoned, weeds reclaiming the SOD-acre site, assembly lines relocated to Naples and elsewhere. TI,e Historical Museum, or Museo Storico, spans six floors and houses well over 100 automobiles-one example, it’s said, of every road and racing model produced since the founding of Anonima Lombarda Fabbrica di Automobili- “A.L.F.A.” -in 1910. The museum is open to the public, free of charge, but you must book at least two weeks in advance (visit alfaromeo.com). If you’re headed to Northern Italy, do it.
The 2008 Grand Prix in Valencia was a nail-biter, but in the end Ferrari’s Felipe Massa walked away victorious. Massa’s sheer speed could not be rivaled by Lewis Hamilton, who finished second for McLaren-Mercedes.
Controversy surrounded Massa’s pit stop during lap 37 after which he was released illegally into the path of Force India’s Adrian Sutil. Officials eventually decided that Massa did not gain an unfair advantage over Sutil.
Team Ferrari was fined 10,000 euros because of the safety issues caused by the incident. In an unusual decision, the stewards opted to investigate the occurrence after the race’s completion.
Fans of Formula One racer Lewis Hamilton are reeling. First, they were elated at his win at the recent Belgian Grand Prix. Later they cried ‘foul’ when he was stripped of that title.
The reason judges demoted him from first to third place? An illegal maneuver helped Lewis Hamilton overtake the front runner, Kimi Raikkonen. However, Hamilton ceded Raikkonen’s position shortly after cutting the chicane. Hamilton went on the cross the finish line in first place to take the Belgian Grand Prix.
